Anthro Love

Loving ALL these items from Anthropologie right now. Maybe I should create a wish list? Haha.

Dear Santa,
I’ve been a good girl this year . . . can you please make this an Anthro Christmas this year? :)

Easy Apple Crisp

Last night, I decided to whip this up to bring over to a friends house.  It was sooo good.

Easy Apple Crisp

  • 4 apples – peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a 9 inch square baking pan, mix sliced apples with brown sugar. In a large bowl, mix together flour, white sugar, cinnamon and salt. In a small bowl, beat together egg and melted butter. Stir into flour mixture. Spread evenly over apples.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until topping is golden and crisp.

Yuuummm.

Pang is awesome.

I know I’ve blogged about her before, but Pang is so awesome. Not only does she create the cutest little creatures but she is also an amazing photographer. I had the oppurtunity to use Pang to do a photo shoot for my cousin, Natalie, who is just starting her own event planning business (All Buttoned-Up). Pang had the greatest ideas, was so full of energy and made Natalie feel so comfortable. She’s such a pleasure to work with – I can’t wait until I have another chance to work with Pang again. Here is just a sneak peak of an image we shot during one of our breaks between locations. I happened to see that little treasure (an old window frame) in someone’s burn pile – jackpot.

Scissors.Paper.Cake

I think everyone always has dreams of starting their own business and doing something cool everyday. (I’m not complaining, I have a cool job – one I love) For my brother, who’s an extraordinary cook, it’s starting his own restaurant. For my friend Meg, it’s starting her own clothing boutique.  For Mandy, another friend, it was starting a clothing boutique as well (and she did)!

I came across scissors.paper.cake yesterday and it was so inspiring! You have two people; Naomi (who I’ve blogged about before here) of hello naomi and Nathalie of imprintables. These two extraordinary women joined forces and created scissors. paper.cake. – perfectly styled parties. Everything from the decor to the food to the invitations is specular. My dream come true! You have to check out their site. Below are images from just one of their amazing events.
